The Google Chrome web browser is steadily gaining steam. Market share has increased 100% from January 2009. It currently accounts for 8% of overall page views, according to w3schools. With the Google team behind it, I expect adoption to grow.
The latest beta version is available for download from Google. The beta version, unlike the release version, has bookmark syncing with any Google account. Bookmark syncing enables users to access and modify their bookmarks from any computer from within the Google Chrome browser.
I have been using the beta version of the browser since it became available in September with absolutely no regrets. The browser is the fastest I have used, particularly when viewing pages with heavy javascript coding. The beta version, like prior releases, also frees up some real estate on the screen because tabs appear in the title bar of the program. Despite being a beta version, the browser appears to be quite stable.
