Tech Crunch’s Michael Arrington is reporting that Google Chrome OS will launch within one week, citing a “reliable source.” It appears that Arrington’s article is the primary feed which has generated over 113 news articles as of this update, 11:20 am on Friday. The Washington Post and PC World are among those writing similar articles. No sources have been identified in any of the articles.
There is a theme of caution in most of the articles that basic hardware drivers may not be available for many devices at the time of beta release.
