Click-Percentage-By-Web-BrowserChitika released some interesting information. Internet Explorer users click web advertisements five times as often as Googld Chrome users and almost twice as often as Safari and Firefox users (see chart to the right).

The implications are two-fold: First, IE users are more valuable to companies that get paid for clicks, e.g., Google — ironic, I know. Second, it suggests that people who don’t know how to navigate the web or might get tricked into clicking an add are more likely to use the pre-installed IE browser.

More sophisticated computer users tend to use Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Accordingly, more sophisticated computer users are less likely to click ads.

The numbers were also broken down by OS and the numbers bolster the implications I suggested above. Consider:
