Alan Mulally, Ford CEO, is the opening speaker at the CES 2010 which will be held in Las Vegas on January 7th. He is expected to discuss upcoming SYNC features that will be included in Ford/Microsoft joint venture. One of the upcoming features was revealed this week — mobile Wifi.

Next generation SYNC will have a USB inteface in the car console that will accept any mobile broadband USB modem. The internet connection will be broadcast throughout the car in the same fashion as a wireless router broadcasts an internet connection throughout a house. Ford released the video below demonstrating the system… the video also goes by the title “How Not to Talk with Dad in the Car”:

Note, that Ford obviously did not consult with Microsoft in preparing the video. One daughter is Googling (not Binging) on her Dell laptop.
