IntoMobile is reporting that Research in Motion has purchased Viigo, the app maker of the popular Viigo Blackberry RSS reader. I’ve previously written about Viigo because it integrates with Google Reader. Perhaps RIM can work on a two-way sync between Google Reader and Viigo which would be a significant step up for the app. This also hints that RIM doesn’t believe that Google will release Blackberry app for Google Reader. For those unfamiliar with RSS, it stands for Really Simply Syndication and you can read my primer on it to get started.
