Businesses that process credit cards through Google Checkout are unable to access their accounts to invoice customers, charge credit cards and send shipping notices. I encountered this problem today but others began complaining about it last night in the Help Forum. This appears to be a system-wide problem because the Help Forum for Google UK also shows foreign users experiencing this problem. When a merchant clicks the sales tab, a 404 error is displayed. Under the purchases tab, users are unable to display their own credit card information. Instead, they receive the following error: “Not able to display billing instrument information at the moment.”

UPDATE: Still down. The Register in the UK is now reporting the same: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/04/07/google_checkout/

1:30 PM EST UPDATE: Google acknowledges problem with web interface. Ability of customers to purchase via Google Checkout unaffected.

We are currently experiencing issues with the Google Checkout web interface. These issues do not affect your customer’s experience with checkout, or your ability to accept and process orders via our APIs. Please refer to http://goo.gl/Byi6 for additional details and updates.
